We’re here to help you. If you have a hearing impairment, we can provide you with assistance before, during and after the flight, so that your trip is relaxed and pleasant.

Assistance on your trip

Information and services to make your trip easier – from departure to arrival at your destination airport.

At the airport

  • We will be happy to accompany you throughout your time at the airport if needed.
  • At the gate, we can assist you in boarding and exiting the aircraft if you wish.
  • In the event of delays or if there are changes to your trip, we can explain everything to you personally, if desired.
  • Some airports offer induction loops at the check-in counters – please enquire directly at the respective airport.

On board

  • If you wish, our cabin crew can provide you with a personal safety briefing. Just ask us about it.
  • On board we offer you a wide range of films with subtitles in German and English.

At your destination airport

  • At your destination airport, our ground crew will take over your assistance. The handover takes place automatically; you don’t have to do anything yourself.
  • We will accompany you to the airport exit. If you have a connecting flight, we will take you directly to your next gate. If you need extra assistance, please ask us.

If you book your ticket by telephone, please be sure to inform us of your individual requirements before completing your booking.

Statutory guidelines

Passengers with a disability or reduced mobility are carried in accordance with EU Regulation No. 1107/2006 on the rights of disabled passengers and passengers with reduced mobility.

Any passengers travelling to/from the USA are carried in accordance with the DOT provisions, Title 14, Part 382 of the Code of Federal Regulations, effective as of 13 May 2009.

At all our destinations in the USA, as well as in Frankfurt and Munich, you can contact specially trained Complaint Resolution Officials (CROs) during opening hours regarding issues related to your disability or reduced mobility. Our crew members or ground staff will be happy to put you in contact.
