From the capital of Texas to the hub of Europe

Lufthansa continues to expand its route network to the US. On May 3, 2019, Lufthansa launched the first nonstop flight between Austin and Frankfurt. Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is the third gateway for Lufthansa in Texas, alongside Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, serving the southern US. An Airbus A330-300 operates five times a week on this route between Austin and Frankfurt.

On Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, the ten-hour flight departs Austin in the late afternoon and arrives the following morning in Frankfurt. The return flight leaves the Lufthansa hub in Frankfurt and lands in Austin during the afternoon.
