The highlights
The last chapter in a long history
The 747-8 is the most modern and final version of the legendary Boeing 747. Technologies from the 787 Dreamliner have been incorporated into its development – the “8” in its name refers precisely to this link. New wings and modern GEnx engines by General Electric make this plane considerably more efficient than previous models, without sacrificing the unmistakeable character of the 747.
Unique onboard features
Unlike classic wide-body jets, the 747-8 boasts a distinctive upper deck at the front of the aircraft. Depending on travel class, this deck is more peaceful, more compact, and more exclusive than the main deck – a detail that makes flying with the 747-8 special even today. With up to 364 seats, four travel classes, and a range of 13,000 kilometers, the 747-8 is the perfect choice for intercontinental routes.
