Be Picky Copenhagen: Selected Tips from Insiders
Flight attendant Till Weisbrod is a fan of Danish men’s fashion. He finds a wide selection around Copenhagen’s Strøget shopping street
I love the minimalist style of restaurants and cafés in Copenhagen – and especially the fashion. That’s why I enjoy shopping so much in the Danish capital. Every time I walk along Strøget, the over-a-kilometer-long shopping street in the city center, I discover new cool looks in the shop windows. The selection of men’s fashion here is simply much larger than in German city centers.
Fashion Brands for Scandi-Chic Fans
Many trendy boutiques are also located in the streets around the famous pedestrian zone. One example is the boutique of Mads Nørgaard, a Copenhagen-based designer who creates shirts and trousers with very casual cuts, along with matching hats, scarves, and belts. Timeless pieces that are easy to mix and match. The same goes for the coats, shoes, and caps by NN.07, whose designs are inspired by Scandi style and Japanese fashion.
Great Clothing for Not-So-Great Weather
You can also dress head-to-toe in style at Samsøe Samsøe, a Danish label known for high-quality knitwear and minimalist design. Even their rainwear looks stylish. No wonder that Danish men look great even in bad weather when they stroll along Strøget.
