If your aircraft is equipped with FlyNet ® you simply follow these steps to connect to the FlyNet® portal:
- Switch on “Airplane Mode” on your device
- Connect to the "FlyNet" wifi on board
- Open a browser and type in: www.lufthansa-flynet.comThe link will be opened in a new browser tab
No, you can access the FlyNet® Portal onboard without having downloaded the FlyNet® App. Nevertheless, with the FlyNet® App you can profit from different features such as buying plans in advance.
You can pay with any major credit card and Apple Pay. Miles & More members can as well redeem miles to purchase their FlyNet® access.
The access is valid for the calendar year of the purchase and the three subsequent calendar years and can only be used once.
If FlyNet is not available on your flight, you can redeem your code on the return flight or any other eligible flight within the validity period. Alternatively, you can request a refund.
No. Continental vouchers can be used on any continental flight, and intercontinental vouchers on any intercontinental flight. If you don’t activate your code on your initial flight, you can redeem it later.
Currently, you cannot book FlyNet® Internet access on your long‑haul flight in combination with FlyNet® for a short‑ or medium‑haul flight. However, a cross‑flight tariff structure is already in the planning stage, so that you will soon be able to enjoy a seamless internet connection on the entire Lufthansa fleet.
Alternatively, if you are a customer of Deutsche Telekom or one of its affiliated roaming partners, you can also log on easily and conveniently with your login details.
Please request these login details before commencing your journey by sending an SMS with ‘Open’ to 9526.
Your FlyNet® internet use will then be charged in line with your service provider’s tariff.
If you choose this billing method, please bear in mind that any use on board the aircraft is billed as ‘international roaming’ and is therefore not necessarily included in your subscriber contract.
