Characteristics of the Airbus A320-200

An aircraft that has made history

When it came into service, the Airbus A320 heralded a new era of civil aviation: it was the world’s first passenger aircraft with a fully digital fly-by-wire control system. Instead of a traditional yoke, the crew in the cockpit controls the aircraft via a side-mounted side-stick – technology that is still regarded as precise, modern and pioneering. What was seen as revolutionary in the past, is today an integral feature in aviation.
