Lufthansa at Frankfurt Airport

Germany’s largest commercial airport is one of the most important air traffic hubs in the world. It is also the biggest of the five Lufthansa hubs and provides its visitors with many services, facilities and events.

Changed traffic routing around Frankfurt Airport

Because of construction works being carried out on the underground S-Bahn railway tracks in Gateway Gardens, there will be road closures around Frankfurt Airport from 15 September. Passengers should therefore be prepared for restrictions. During the construction work, Terminal 1 will only be accessible via the B34 and Terminal 2 only via the A3.

Appropriate diversions will be signposted; however, all passengers travelling to and from the airport by car should allow more time for their arrival and departure.

Info kiosks make orientation easier

Around 100 information kiosks at both Frankfurt Airport terminals help passengers get their bearings and allow them to ‘read’ their boarding passes via a barcode scanner. The kiosk displays the quickest route to the gate on a terminal map and tells the passenger, for example, about the current status of their flight or any changes to the departure time or gate.
