FRA SmartWay
Faster through security checkpoints at Frankfurt Airport with FRA SmartWay.
Save valuable time at security checkpoints and book your time slot free of charge online between 72 hours and 3 hours before departure. To reserve a time slot, please give your name, flight number and email address. You will then receive a booking confirmation via email. The QR code contained within the email and your valid boarding pass entitle you to use FRA SmartWay.
The service is available between 04:15 and 20:45 hours at the separately designated security control lanes in Departure Halls A and B in Terminal 1 as well as at Terminal 2’s central security checkpoint.
Your time slot is valid 10 minutes before and after the time slot you have booked. Travellers are asked to schedule enough time for their arrival and their baggage drop-off.
Getting there
Frankfurt Airport is located about 12 kilometres south-west of Frankfurt am Main and is very easy to get to due to its convenient transport links. By car, by bus and by train.
