Getting there

Frankfurt Airport is located about 12 kilometres south-west of Frankfurt and is very easy to get to due to its convenient transport links. By car, by bus and by train.

Boarding

Passengers travelling on a Lufthansa electronic ticket are able to use the Lufthansa Quick Boarding machines at Frankfurt Airport.

Priority boarding is available to all Business Class passengers, HON Circle Members, Senators and Star Gold card holders in Departures Hall A.

Check-in/Bag drop-off

At Frankfurt Airport, late-night check-in and a special Lufthansa family check-in service for families with children up to 12 years of age are available.

Bag drop-off is convenient and time-saving for all passengers thanks to the self-service bag drop kiosks in Departure Halls A and B.

Terminal map

Lufthansa and all its partners are located under one roof in Terminal 1 and at Pier A, which has been built exclusively for Lufthansa. Both terminals are only a few minutes away from each other by shuttle bus or by the "‘SkyLine’" elevated railway.

Top services at Frankfurt Airport

24-hour, free Wi-Fi

Passengers and visitors can use Frankfurt Airport’s Wi-Fi free of charge, 24 hours a day. The service is offered through more than 300 Wi-Fi access points, predominantly in the airport’s Departures areas, and provided by Deutsche Telekom’s HotSpot portal.

Information kiosks make finding your way around easier

The approximately 100 information kiosks in both of Frankfurt Airport’s terminals help you to find your way around and have scanners that can read your boarding pass. The kiosks will show you the quickest way to your gate and can also give you information – for example, about the current status of your flight and changes to your departure time and departure gate.

As a passenger in Lufthansa First Class or as an HON Circle Member, the special nature of your journey begins the moment you arrive at the airport. Your Lufthansa personal assistant and the valet service provided by our partner, FIA Vorfahrtservice, make sure of it.
