Economy Basic
This is the basic fare at the most affordable price.
The "Economy Basic" fare is the ideal choice if you’re traveling only with one personal item and know when you plan to fly, as tickets cannot be rebooked and are excluded from refunds. You can add one carry-on baggage and an advanced seat assignment for an additional fee.
Economy Light
This light fare provides a simple option with essential inclusions.
The “Economy Light” fare is the ideal choice if you’re traveling with only a personal item and one carry-on bag and already know your travel dates, as tickets can only be rebooked for an extra charge. You can add a checked bag and reserve a seat in advance at any time for an additional fee.
Economy Comfort
You will receive the usual services on this standard fare.
The "Economy Comfort” fare is recommended if you do not want to forgo the usual services and amenities. Tickets on this fare can be rebooked for an extra charge.
Economy Comfort Green
The fare for more sustainable travel above the clouds.
When selecting the Green fare, the use of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) reduces flight-related CO2 emissions (20% of individual flight-related CO2 emissions), and the remaining CO2 emissions are offset by a contribution to high-quality climate protection projects in the amount of flight-related CO2 emissions (80% CO2 of individual flight-based emissions).
Economy Flex
The flexible fare – because travel plans can change.
The "Economy Flex" fare is aimed at passengers who need more flexibility when planning their trip. Tickets on this fare can be rebooked for free and refunded against an extra charge.
Business Class
For a relaxed trip with the greatest degree of comfort.
Of course, the comprehensive comfort of our Business Class is also still available to you. Your adjacent seat is kept free, and you can enjoy plenty of Business Class benefits, such as lounge access. Alongside the fully flexible Business Flex fare, a restrictive Business Comfort fare is also available on selected routes. You can fly more sustainably on the Business Comfort Green fare. In this case, the use of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) reduces flight-related CO2 emissions (20% of individual flight-related CO2 emissions), and the remaining CO2 emissions are offset by a contribution to high-quality climate protection projects in the amount of the flight-related CO2 emissions (80% CO2 of individual flight-related emissions).
Additional services that can be booked for a fee
Baggage, advanced seat assignment and upgrade to Business Class can be booked easily as an additional service, depending on the chosen Europe fare for Economy Class.
On the Economy Basic fare you can book one additional carry-on bag per passenger. On the Economy Basic and Economy Light fare you can book additionally the first additional piece of checked bag for a fee.

The fare concept applies to short and medium-haul flights with destinations within the Europe fare route network. This also covers destinations in North Africa(including Marrakech, Casablanca, Algiers, Tunisia) and Azerbaijan. When you book online you’ll see immediately if your destination is among the selection, as the available fares appear automatically when you enter your destination.
You can combine the Basic, Comfort, Flex and Business fares within the Lufthansa Group and on so-called code-share flights with other airlines. (Exception: the fares cannot be combined with the EW BASIC fares) Please note that advanced seat assignments on flights not operated by Lufthansaor Austrian Airlines, in particular in Economy Class, are available only to a limited extent or not at all. Please contact the airline operating the flight directly.
You can earn miles, Points, and Qualifying Points on all flights; you can earn HON Circle Points in Business Class. With the Flex fare you can earn 50 per cent more miles during a limited offer period.
Please note: For HON Circle Members, Senators, Frequent Travellers, and Star Alliance Gold Members, the Economy Basic and Economy Light Fare does not include a free advanced seat assignment, extra items of baggage, or a golf bag free of charge. So on the Economy Basic and Economy Light Fare a charge will be levied for a checked baggage and carry on baggage regardless of the passenger’s status.

The Europe fares do not apply to connecting flights to and from an intercontinental connection with a through fare. In this case you are automatically flying in Economy Class on a fare that includes one piece of baggage up to 23 kg. For example, if you book a long-haul flight from New York to Stockholm via Frankfurt, you don’t have to worry about the fare conditions of the connecting flight within Europe.
If travelling on the Economy Flex or Business Class Flex fares, you can easily rebook to an earlier flight on the same day free of charge, even if the booking class you originally booked is not available. So long as a seat in the booked travel class is still available, you can rebook your flight on the day of departure at check-in (via lufthansa.com, the Lufthansa app, check-in machine or check-in counter at the airport). Please note that you cannot have any checked baggage or special services booked for your original flight.
