Travel from Germany to Singapore and enjoy quarantine-free travel if you meet all VTL requirements

Singapore has announced the establishment of a Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) for travellers from Germany to Singapore. From 01 September onwards, fully vaccinated travellers can apply for a Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP). This will allow entry into Singapore for any travel purpose from 08 September onwards, without quarantine requirements. Passengers must fly on designated direct flights from Germany.

Quarantine requirements will be replaced by frequent PCR-testing prior to and after travel. For details on the conditions to be met (including a 21-day-stay in Germany and/or Singapore prior to travel) application procedure and implementation, please visit the Safe Travel Website.

Lufthansa will offer two VTL flights per week from Frankfurt to Singapore, starting on 16 September 2021. Eligible passengers who wish to travel to Singapore via the VTL must ensure that they are booked on designated VTL flights only. These are outlined in the table below.

Passengers travelling on designated VTL flights must ensure they meet all the requirements before booking a flight. Strictly no transit through Singapore is allowed, and no transit through Frankfurt except from destinations within Germany.

Travel from Singapore to Germany

Travel from Singapore to Germany does not require a VTL flight.

For customers wishing to book return (round-trip) flights from Singapore to Germany:
You may book any outbound flight from Singapore to Germany. Eligible customers who wish to return to Singapore via the VTL must ensure that they are booked on a designated VTL flight for their return journey from Germany to Singapore. VTL flights are outlined in the table above.

Travellers from Singapore to Germany can currently travel quarantine-free. As Singapore is not considered as a high-risk area or area of variants of concern, there is no need for registration or quarantine upon arrival in Germany. All travellers arriving in Germany have the obligation to furnish proof of vaccination or recovery from COVID-19 or a test certificate (antigen test: taken max. 48 hours, PCR test: taken max. 72 hours before entry). This only applies to travellers aged twelve years or older. The Singapore digital vaccination certificate and the physical vaccination card are suitable to furnish this proof.

In the event of suspension of the Vaccinated Travel Lanes, Lufthansa will adhere to the guidance of the regulators and customers will be informed of any changes.
