Current flight information
We would like to give you some tips to ensure that the start of your journey with the Lufthansa Group is pleasant and as trouble-free as possible.
Arrival at the airport
Please allow sufficient time for your journey to your departure airport. Remember that the roads or public transport may be congested at peak times and this will lengthen your journey.
You should also arrive at the airport well in advance of your departure, especially if you are checking in luggage. In this context, also observe the instructions and recommendations of the airports. Please also check in your hand luggage. This can avoid longer waiting times at the security checks and the subsequent checking of your luggage.
Check-in for your Lufthansa Group flight
Find out more about our check-in process on our special pages. In any case, please use the online check-in or the service in the Lufthansa APP. We are also happy to offer you on several airports the possibility of a Late-Night Check-in on the evening before your departure.
Please also note the entry regulations for your destination country. These are both the regular visa and passport regulations but also certain Corona entry regulations with possible regulations regarding medical documents.
What to do in the event of flight irregularities
Unfortunately, especially during holiday periods with high passenger volumes, there may be flight irregularities on your journey. We therefore ask you to check the status of your flight before travelling to the airport.
To avoid waiting times in the Call Centers, we have the following advises for you:
In the event of a cancellation, Lufthansa will automatically rebook you on another flight free of charge and inform you via your mobile phone number or by e-mail. If you do not receive a message from Lufthansa, please check the current status of your booking. Here you can also adjust the rebooking again if you wish.
In the event of a cancellation of a German domestic Lufthansa flight, you can exchange your flight ticket into a ticket with Deutsche Bahn free of charge. Should you travel to Frankfurt or Munich by train with this offer, please choose a connection so that you have enough time between the arrival of the train and your departure. We recommend that you only use trains on which you can make a seat reservation in advance.
If you have booked your flight ticket with a tour operator or travel agency, you can also contact the tour operator or travel agency where the booking was made directly.
