Up-to-date Covid-19-related entry documents are required for most destinations. Lufthansa checks these before departure. Please make sure that your documents are complete and valid as otherwise you will not be able to travel.
Covid-19 tests for destinations outside Germany

Information from the Federal Ministry of Health about entry into Germany during the Covid-19 pandemic

Verified Covid-19 self-tests for entry into Germany, Austria, Canada and the USA
When entering Germany, Austria, Canada and the USA, you also have the option of using test kits with a video-accompanied and verified self-test, which are available to you as an alternative to our trusted partner laboratories. You can use the tests conveniently at home or in your hotel and you will receive the test certificate by email afterwards.

Covid-19 test centres at Frankfurt and Munich airports
Test centres are available for the required tests at Frankfurt, Munich and many other airports. Please allow enough time for your test.
The following test centre is available to you for your Covid-19 test at your departure location, among others. The links provided will take you to the relevant registration pages.
The test centre offers certified antigen, PCR, POC antibody and free citizen tests. Self-tests cannot be recognised for entry (exception: verified self-tests when entering Germany, Austria or the USA). Please note that in some circumstances we will have to deny boarding without a valid Covid-19 test.

EcoCare
The EcoCare test centre will be located centrally on the pedestrian bridge connecting Terminal 1 and the inter-city railway station (The Squaire) from 3 March 2022.
Exclusive Fast Lanes are available for Lufthansa, SWISS and Austrian Airlines passengers at Frankfurt Airport. Please follow the Lufthansa signs.
Registration required

MVZ Martinsried
Departing passengers can pay to take a test at the MVZ Martinsried medical laboratory with its "Test & Fly" Test Centre in Terminal 2, Level 4. Please register online in advance.
Test centre for transit passengers
Two Covid-19 testing options are available in Terminal 2 for transit passengers:
- Schengen transfer area, opposite Gate G32
- Non-Schengen transfer area, opposite Gate H17
