Test, Drop & Fly – our drive-through service
To make travelling even more enjoyable for you, we are now offering you two new services at Frankfurt Airport. In cooperation with Fraport and CENTOGENE, you can pay to use our drive-through Covid-19 testing service before your flight and be tested conveniently while sitting in your car. Please note that pre-registration is mandatory for this service. In addition, all our passengers have the option of using our free drive-through baggage drop-off outside the terminal from 26 to 2 hours before departure. No advance registration is necessary for this.
With the drive-through Covid-19 test and the drive-through baggage drop-off, you will avoid unnecessary queuing in the terminal and enjoy an easy and stress-free start to your journey the next day or a few hours later.
You can, of course, use these services individually or in combination:
In the drive-through test centre at Frankfurt Airport, CENTOGENE offers you internationally recognised PCR and antigen tests that you will need for entry to many countries. You will have to pay for the tests.
- Book and pay for your Covid-19 test in advance and then register online on the CENTOGENE Covid-19 test portal.
- Drive up to the drive-through test centre in your car. The centre is on car park P44 opposite Gate 21 at Frankfurt Airport.
- After you have entered and your test registration has been checked, Covid-19 tests will be carried out on all the registered persons in the vehicle. You will be assigned a test tent and must not leave your vehicle.
- You will receive your test results online.

Take advantage of the free drive-through baggage drop-off at Frankfurt Airport without pre-registration from 26 to 2 hours before departure. This way you will be able to avoid unnecessary queuing in the terminal and enjoy an easy and stress-free start to your journey.
- Check in online as usual.
- You will receive your boarding pass or a check-in confirmation.
- Drive up to the drive-through baggage drop-off at car park P44 opposite Gate 21 at Frankfurt Airport.
- Acceptance deadlines: from 26 to 2 hours before departure
- Have your mobile boarding pass or check-in confirmation, your flight booking confirmation and a valid photo ID to hand.
- A member of staff will help you to check in your baggage and assist you with all necessary steps.
- If you use our Lufthansa app, our baggage tracking service will, of course, be available to you as usual.

As a Miles & More participant, you can earn 10 award miles per 1 euro/CHF during a paid Corona test conducted by CENTOGENE (a maximum of 1.000 award miles can be earned per test). To do so, please state your Miles & More card number when booking the Corona test.

The wearing of a medical face mask (e.g. surgical mask, FFP2-standard mask) is obligatory on the entire site and throughout the entire process.
All services are available to all Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS passengers.

Frequently Asked Questions
If you cannot board your flight, please contact our Service Center as usual to cancel or rebook your flight.
Since we will have additionally labelled your baggage and this will only be loaded on to the aircraft if you are also on board, you do not need to worry: your baggage will be taken automatically to our Lost & Found Centre, and a member of staff will contact you to discuss how we can best deliver your baggage to you.
Yes, your ID/passport details can be shown on the test result with the drive-through corona test. To do so, please book the option "Passport / ID card data on the findings" free of charge when registering in the Corona Test Portal. Please note that you cannot add this option later.
You can also book the product or register on-site. We have set up a waiting area for this purpose from where you can book and register online via your smartphone. You also have the option of booking and registering with the staff members in the registration tent.
However, it may be the case that there are no appointments left when you arrive at the drive-through test centre, and we will not be able to offer you a test. If this is the case, you can get tested at the CENTOGENE walk-in test centre at Frankfurt Airport.
