Why is my password not accepted?
Please observe Lufthansa's guidelines for passwords:
- at least 8 characters
- at least one upper-case letter
- at least one lower-case letter

- must not have been used previously
Why is my email address not allowed for registration?
Your email address has already been filed. If you have forgotten your password, please click on ‘Forgotten password’. Alternatively, please enter another email address and try again.
Why has my activation link expired / why is it not valid?
The Lufthansa iD profile activation link is only valid for 48 hours. If your activation link has expired, please click on the expired activation link and request a new activation email clicking on “Resend Link” on the opened page. Please note that a maximum of three further activation links can be sent to you before your account is automatically deleted.
Why haven't I received an email with an activation link?
If you have not received an activation email after registering for your Lufthansa iD, please check your spam folder. Otherwise, please log in again and request a new activation link that will be valid for 48 hours.
Please note that you can have a maximum of three further confirmation emails sent to you, after that your account will be deleted.
Where can I register for Lufthansa iD?
You can register for a Lufthansa iD profile at lufthansa.com and via the Lufthansa app (Android, iOS).
Why is my Lufthansa iD profile not active?
In order for you to be able to use your Lufthansa iD profile, you must confirm it by clicking on the link in your activation email. Please go to your expired account activation email in your mailbox, click on the link and request a new confirmation link to be sent to you by clicking on “Resend Link”. You can have a maximum of three further confirmation emails sent to you.
Please note that in case that you have a maximum of three confirmation emails already sent to you, your account is deleted. Also, if you waited longer than 30 days for account activation, your Lufthansa iD profile was deleted. In these two cases, please register for Lufthansa iD again.
What can I do if I’ve forgotten my log-in details?
Please click on ‘Forgotten password’ and enter your Lufthansa iD email address. If you have connected your Lufthansa iD to a Miles & More account, you can also use your Miles & More user ID and your password or your Miles & More card number and PIN to log in.
What can I do if I’ve entered the wrong login data too often?
Please reset your password or answer the CAPTCHA. Your account will be blocked after too many incorrect login attempts.
What combination of user ID and password can I use for logging in?
For Lufthansa iD customers: Lufthansa iD email and password.
For Miles & More customers with connected Lufthansa iD profile:
- Miles & More card number + secret, five-digit Miles & More number (PIN)
- user ID + password
- Lufthansa iD email + password.
Why don't I stay logged in even though I activated the ‘Stay logged in’ check box when I logged in?
In order to stay logged in, you must activate your Lufthansa iD profile. You will find the activation link in an email that Lufthansa has sent you.
Why can I no longer log in?
You did not activate your profile in time or your profile has been deleted. Please first try to activate your profile and go to your expired account activation email in your mailbox, click on the link and request a new confirmation link to be sent to you by clicking on “Resend Link”. If you are not able to do so, please re-register and activate your Lufthansa iD profile by confirming the activation link in the email sent to you by Lufthansa within 48 hours.
Can I also log into austrian.com and swiss.com with my Lufthansa iD?
No, the different IDs and accounts can currently only be used on their respective websites. Your Miles & More login continues to be available.
Why can't I add a payment method to my profile?
If you have not already done so: please enter your name first. Before adding new payment details, you may be asked for your login.
What benefits does entering a payment method have?
When you enter your payment method, you can use it to make a booking more quickly.
Why can't I change my name in my profile?
If you have connected your Miles & More account to your Lufthansa iD, you can only change your name by contacting the Miles & More Call Centre.
Why can't I change my date of birth?
If you have connected your Miles & More account to your Lufthansa iD, you can only change your date of birth by contacting the Miles & More Call Centre.
How do I change the Lufthansa iD email address that I use to log in?
If you want to change your login email address, please enter the new one in your profile as a second email address first. Then confirm this change via the activation link sent to you by Lufthansa. Afterwards, simply switch your preferred email address in your Lufthansa iD profile under "Your Contact Information". Please note: It is only possible to change your Lufthansa iD email when the profile has been activated.
Why can't I add my preferred email to my profile?
If you created several Lufthansa iD profiles, you can delete the profile you don't use and then add this email to your Lufthansa iD profile. Email addresses cannot be shared between Lufthansa iD profiles.
Can I add more than one frequent flyer programmes to my profile?
No, you can only add one frequent flyer programme to your profile. If you have already connected your Lufthansa iD profile to a Miles & More account, you cannot add an additional frequent flyer programme.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your Lufthansa iD profile in your profile area under "Your profile information".
If you have connected your Lufthansa iD profile to your Miles & More account, you must delete the accounts separately. The Lufthansa iD profile can be deleted in the profile area. You can have the Miles & More account deleted by calling the Miles & More Service Centre.
How do I unsubscribe from Lufthansa email advertising?
You can end the subscription simply by clicking directly on ‘Unsubscribe’ in your email or by changing the settings in your profile under “Your Communication”. If you have connected your Lufthansa iD profile to your Miles & More account, please also change your communication settings in the check boxes under the heading “Miles & More news and best offers”.
How can I revoke my permission for the use of my Lufthansa iD data?
You can revoke your permission for the use of your data by unticking the checkbox for Declaration of consent for digital communication in your profile, section “Your Communication”. Data protection is particularly important in the context of the personalisation activities of the Lufthansa Group. Lufthansa does not sell customer information, and data is not passed on to third parties unless you expressly declare otherwise.

No. Customers with a Lufthansa iD participate in innovative Lufthansa features that customers without a Lufthansa iD do not receive. In the future, the Lufthansa iD will be the key for all Lufthansa's digital services.
Can I also use the Lufthansa iD at travel agencies or at the check-in counter?
No. At the moment, the Lufthansa iD is only available on Lufthansa digital touchpoints (e.g. lufthansa.com, Lufthansa App). Travel agencies do not use the Lufthansa iD when making a reservation.
Can I give my login information to third parties?
Lufthansa's data protection guidelines recommend that you do not share any sensitive login data in order to prevent its misuse.
Is there a Lufthansa iD service card (in addition to the Miles & More service card)?
No, there is no Lufthansa iD service card. All you need to use your Lufthansa iD is your email address and password.

You can earn miles with a Lufthansa iD profile by connecting your Lufthansa iD profile to your Miles & More account. The loyalty programme is covered by Miles & More.

Why doesn't the flight I have already booked appear in my bookings list?
The booking is automatically added to your profile in case you are logged in with your Lufthansa iD while booking your flight on lufthansa.com and in Lufthansa App. You can also manually add the booking later.
How do I add a flight to my bookings list?
Please log in with your Lufthansa iD in the Lufthansa App, go to ‘My bookings’ and add the booking to your bookings list by clicking on ‘Add booking’.
On lufthansa.com please log in with your Lufthansa iD, click on your profile name at the top right-hand corner of the website and add the booking.
Do I still earn miles with my Miles & More profile if I have connected my Miles & More account with my Lufthansa iD?
Yes. If you have connected a Miles & More account to your Lufthansa iD, you will continue to earn miles.

Why doesn't ‘Miles & More’ appear in the options menu of other frequent flyer programmes?
After logging in to your Lufthansa iD profile, you can add a Miles & More account in the profile area ‘Frequent flyer programme’. You will then be asked to enter your Miles & More login data before you connect the Miles & More profile to the Lufthansa iD account.
How does the Lufthansa iD differ from the Miles & More account?
For Lufthansa iD, you log in with your email address and password. In addition, you can use your Lufthansa iD during your journey with Lufthansa in order to receive personalised services and offers.
Do I have to manage two accounts?
