Even with a credit balance of just 3,000 miles, you can use this service and redeem your award miles on all Star Alliance flights and on flights with Eurowings. Cash & Miles will soon be available in many countries. Detailed information regarding when Cash & Miles will be available in your country can be found further down this page.
What is Cash & Miles?
Cash & Miles is a service for Miles & More members who from now on can settle the cost of their Star Alliance, Eurowings or Eurowings Discover flights booked on lufthansa.com in full or in part with award miles. The airfare is calculated based on the total ticket price, including taxes, fees and surcharges. Extremely practical: even if you have not earned enough miles for flight awards on your personal mileage account, you can credit the miles you have accrued to date towards the price of the flight.
Of course, the attractive award flights from the Miles & More programme will continue to be available.
Cash & Miles is an additional offer for redeeming miles. And you can earn new miles with every Cash & Miles flight.

With Cash & Miles you, as a Miles & More member, can redeem your award miles for all regular flights with Star Alliance members as well as for flights with Eurowings or Eurowings Discover that can be booked on lufthansa.com. You have the option of using miles to pay for your preferred flight, thereby reducing the amount you pay in cash. Cash & Miles is thus an addition to the current awards table and another way for Miles & More members to redeem miles.

Cash & Miles can be used on lufthansa.com for all Star Alliance, Eurowings and Eurowings Discover flights. The offer applies to all service classes and all available international routes. Cash & Miles cannot be used for domestic flights, except for flights within Germany. You can find an overview of all Star Alliance members here.
There could be several reasons for this: either you have not yet logged onto lufthansa.com with your login details or you have not yet reached the required mileage total of at least 3,000 award miles. Also, Cash & Miles is not immediately available in all markets.
Cash & Miles enables you to use your accrued award miles to pay for a flight in full or in part. The airfare is calculated based on the total ticket price, including taxes, fees and surcharges. Cash & Miles cannot be used to purchase upgrades. These can be purchased via the usual option of booking an upgrade directly via Miles & More at www.miles-and-more.com.
Flights are a sought-after award in the Miles & More programme. In members’ estimation of value, they are at the top of the list. With the flight awards already available in the Miles & More programme, we provide an attractive flight offer for maintaining a constant mileage amount. However, the number of available flight awards is limited. During seasonal periods where there is especially high demand – such as during holiday times – our flight awards are sometimes sold out.
With Cash & Miles, we offer you an additional option for redeeming accrued award miles. At lufthansa.com, you can now use your award miles in full or in part for any standard flight with a Star Alliance member airline and for flights with Eurowings or Eurowings Discover, thereby reducing the amount of your flight ticket to be paid in cash. At the same time, the ticket conditions are identical to those of a normal flight ticket. The Cash & Miles calculation is based on the ticket price on the day of booking. This price is converted into miles. The number of miles required also depends on the flight, service class and the number of miles used.
Cash & Miles should be seen as an addition to flight awards and the current awards table. With its introduction, we have created another option for redeeming miles for flights in the Miles & More programme.
