(hereinafter referred to as “Lufthansa”)

1.General Provisions

We appreciate your interest and participation in, our promotional prize draw “North America, your way” (hereinafter referred to as the “Prize Draw”).  Participation in the Prize Draw is open from 1 October 2026 at 00:00 hours IST until 31 October 2026 at 23:59 hours IST (the “Promotion Period”).

As part of the Prize Draw, the prizes described in Clause 3 shall be awarded by random draw among all participants who have duly registered and are eligible to participate. The winner(s) will be selected through a computer-generated random selection process from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. Lufthansa will retain auditable records of the eligible entries, the selection process and the result of the Prize Draw. 

2. Participation Requirements

Participation shall only be valid if all of the following participation requirements are fully met.

a. All persons aged 18 years or older who are resident of India are eligible to participate in the Prize Draw.

b. To participate in the Prize Draw, the participant must register via the dedicated Lufthansa landing page at [add CONFIRMED INDIA LANDING PAGE URL] and provide the requested details, including the booking reference (PNR).

The registration must be completed by the closing date of the Promotion Period.

c. For valid participation in the Prize Draw, the participating person must, between 1 October and 31 October 2026  book a (confirmed) flight via www.lufthansa.com between any of the gateways from  India  and any destination airport in the North Atlantic and for travel between 1 October 2026 and 31 March 2027.

Such booking constitutes a participation requirement; irrespective thereof, the main prize described in Clause 3 may be redeemed exclusively for flights operated by Lufthansa and booked via Lufthansa.com. .

In addition, the corresponding booking reference (PNR)  must be registered on the Prize Draw page, and participation in the Prize Draw as well as acceptance of these Terms and Conditions for Participation must be confirmed by ticking the relevant checkbox.  

d. Registrations received after the closing date for participation will not be considered, irrespective of the reason for the delay. The electronically recorded time of receipt shall be decisive.  The liability provisions set out in Clause 4 shall apply to technical transmission errors.

e. Each booking reference (PNR) may only be registered once. Multiple registrations of the same booking reference will not be considered. A person may participate more than once only if several different eligible bookings, each with a separate booking reference, are registered.

f. If a registered booking is fully cancelled before the winners are determined, or if a request for a refund of that booking is submitted, eligibility to participate in respect of that booking shall lapse.

g. Only bookings purchased under regular conditions are eligible. Bookings for which promotional codes, discount codes, voucher codes or comparable price-reducing promotional benefits have been applied are excluded from participation. Bookings made using the promotional code INDIA20 are exempt from this exclusion and remain eligible for participation in the Prize Draw.

h. Employees of Lufthansa, employees of companies affiliated with Lufthansa, as well as employees of business partners and cooperation partners involved in the conception, organisation or implementation of the Prize Draw, and their family members, are excluded from participation.

i. No separate costs are incurred for registering for the Prize Draw; this shall not affect the costs of the eligible flight booking. Any costs incurred by the participants in connection with participation, such as costs for internet access or mobile communications, shall be borne by the participants themselves.

j. The participants are solely responsible for the accuracy of the contact details provided.

k. By participating in the Prize Draw, the participants accept these Terms and Conditions for Participation and confirm that they have taken note of the data protection information provided in connection with the Prize Draw.

l. Lufthansa shall be entitled to exclude participants from participation in the Prize Draw without prior notice if they do not meet the requirements of these Terms and Conditions for Participation, manipulate or attempt to manipulate the Prize Draw, in particular the participation procedure, especially by way of unauthorised multiple registration of the same booking reference (PNR), and/or culpably breach these Terms and Conditions for Participation.

m. The recipient of the information provided by the participants in connection with the Prize Draw, in particular their  name, email address and booking reference (PNR), is Lufthansa.

This information will be used exclusively for the purpose of conducting the Prize Draw and in accordance with the data protection notice set out in Clause 7.

3. Prizes and Conduct of the Prize Draw

As part of the Prize Draw, one Lufthansa Sponsored Travel Voucher, with a value of INR 54,000, shall be awarded by random draw. The voucher may be redeemed for flights operated by Lufthansa.

The winner shall be determined by random draw on 10th November 2026  and shall be notified by email at the email address provided during registration. Unless expressly provided otherwise, the provisions of these Terms and Conditions for Participation shall apply accordingly.

The vouchers may be redeemed for bookings via Lufthansa.com in accordance with the terms and conditions of use for Lufthansa Sponsored Travel Vouchers. The vouchers may only be used for bookings in INR and must be redeemed no later than 31 December 2029. In the event of winning, the winner shall receive all details regarding redemption and the applicable redemption conditions.

a. The winner shall be determined by random draw after the closing date for participation from among all valid participations and shall be notified by email on 10th of November. Notification shall be sent to the email address provided during registration. The vouchers shall be transmitted electronically by email.

b. Lufthansa shall not be liable for any failed or delayed transmission of the prize to the extent such failure or delay is due to incorrect or incomplete information provided by the winner or to circumstances outside Lufthansa’s control. If the prize is unavailable for reasons for which Lufthansa is not responsible, Clause 6.a shall apply accordingly.

c. If a prize cannot be delivered, Lufthansa shall not be obliged to make any enquiries. The winner’s claim to the prize shall lapse if the prize cannot be delivered due to incorrect or incomplete data provided by the winner. In such case, an alternate winner shall be determined by random draw.

d. Lufthansa does not provide tax advice and makes no representation regarding the tax treatment of the Prize. The Winner shall be solely responsible for any income tax or other taxes, duties or levies payable in connection with the Prize under applicable law.

4. Liability

a. Lufthansa shall be liable for damages incurred by the participants only in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence, to the extent permitted by applicable law. The foregoing limitation of liability shall not apply to damages arising from injury to life, body or health to any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. In the event of a breach of any material contractual obligation in connection with the conduct of the Prize Draw, Lufthansa’s liability shall be limited to losses that were reasonably foreseeable at the time of the breach, to the extent permitted by applicable law. 

b. To the extent permitted by law, Lufthansa does not guarantee that the Prize Draw page will be available at all times; any liability pursuant to Clause 4.a shall remain unaffected.

c. Lufthansa shall be liable for any losses or damages in connection with transmission errors, technical disruptions, system overloads or data losses only in accordance with the preceding liability provisions set out in Clause 4.a.

d. The participants shall indemnify Lufthansa against any third-party claims arising from a culpable breach by the participant of these Terms and Conditions of Participation in particular from any manipulation of the participation process or the provision of incorrect or misleading data. This indemnification obligation shall not apply to the extent that the relevant claim results from any act or omission of Lufthansa. Any further statutory rights of Lufthansa shall remain unaffected.

5. Early Termination of the Prize Draw

a. Lufthansa reserves the right to cancel or suspend the Prize Draw at any time and without prior notice. This shall apply in particular where the proper conduct of the Prize Draw cannot be ensured for technical reasons, including, without limitation, viruses in computer systems or errors in hardware and/or software, due to manipulation of the participation process, or for legal reasons.

b. In the event that the Prize Draw is cancelled or suspended pursuant to Clause 5.a, participants shall have no claims against Lufthansa, including claims for performance or damages, unless Lufthansa is liable in accordance with Clause 4.a.

6. Miscellaneous

a. Cash payment, interest, payment in any other form, exchange of the prize or transfer of the prize to third parties shall be excluded. If the prize is unavailable for reasons for which Lufthansa is not responsible, Lufthansa reserves the right to provide a substitute prize of equivalent or higher value.

b. Lufthansa reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions for Participation to the extent such amendment is required for legal, technical or organisational reasons and does not unreasonably disadvantage the participants.

c. Should any provision of these Terms and Conditions for Participation be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.

d. These Terms and Conditions for Participation and the legal relationship between the participants and Lufthansa shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the Republic of India.

e. The courts of India shall have jurisdiction with respect to the conduct of the draw and the determination of the winners; mandatory statutory rights shall remain unaffected

7. Data Protection Information

a. Lufthansa processes all personal data communicated to Lufthansa in connection with this Prize Draw in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Personal data required for the conduct of the Prize Draw shall be processed for the purpose of administering the Prize Draw, including verifying eligibility, conducting the draw, contacting the winner(s) and delivering the prize. Personal data within this meaning are the following personal data provided by the participants in connection with the Prize Draw: name, email address,  booking reference (PNR) 

b. Participants’ personal data shall be accessed or shared only to the extent necessary for the conduct and administration of the Prize Draw. Where required for prize fulfilment, only the winner’s name may be shared within the Lufthansa Group, including with Lufthansa Innovation Hub. Such personal data shall be processed solely for the purposes stated in this Clause 7 and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

The collection, processing and use of the participants’ personal data shall be limited to the purposes of conducting and administering the Prize Draw. The personal data provided by the participants shall not be used for any other purpose unless otherwise permitted by applicable law or with the participant’s consent, where required.

c. The participants’ personal data shall be retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes of conducting and administering the Prize Draw, including the determination and notification of winners and delivery of the prizes, unless statutory or regulatory retention requirements, including those relating to tax, accounting or other legal obligations, require such data to be retained for a longer period. Thereafter, the personal data shall be deleted or anonymised, as applicable.

d. As a participant, you have the following rights under applicable data protection laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, to the extent applicable:

– the right to access information about your personal data and its processing;

– the right to request correction, completion or updating of inaccurate, incomplete or outdated personal data;

– the right to request erasure of your personal data, subject to applicable statutory, regulatory and other legal retention requirements;

– the right to grievance redressal in relation to the processing of your personal data;

– the right to withdraw your consent, where consent is the basis for processing of your personal data; and

– the right to nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.

e. In order to process your request and for identification purposes, Lufthansa may process your personal data to the extent necessary to verify and respond to your request, in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Such personal data shall be retained only for as long as necessary to process your request and to comply with any applicable statutory or regulatory retention requirements.

Participation checkboxes

Participation requires acceptance of the Terms and Conditions and acknowledgement that the data protection information has been read. A separate consent checkbox should be used only if consent is relied upon for an additional, optional processing purpose.
