Travelling with a companion

In certain situations it may be required to travel with a companion. You can find all the important information and how our easy registration process works here.

Our assistance services

For your safety and well-being during your trip, you may sometimes need to travel with a companion.

A companion is required if:

  • You cannot understand the safety instructions from our cabin crew.
  • You are unable to bring yourself to safety in the event of an emergency.
  • You need personal assistance on board or in the lounge, e.g. when eating or using the toilet.

If you require a travelling companion you can register this in our Help section:
Choose “Accessible travel” → “Travelling with health issues” and enter your booking dates.

Registration of a travelling companion can also be done by another trusted person, for example by family members, carers or support people.

Except on purely German domestic routes, a travelling companion must pay the full ticket price.

You can notify us of your assistance requirements using the following means of contact.
