Just a 90-minute ferry ride from Istanbul lies a different world. On the Princes’ Islands in the Sea of Marmara, the city’s hustle and bustle is nowhere to be found. Cars aren’t even allowed here, and only four of the nine islands are permanently inhabited. I personally love Büyükada, the largest island, with its charming restaurants and beautiful wooden mansions. I enjoy exploring the beaches and parks by rental bike – and even going for a swim. One of my favorites is Yörükali Beach with its beach bar and pier.
