Our tip: For convenience, take the train or bus from Munich to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The Zugspitzbahn station is located close by the Deutsche Bahn rail station. From here take the cogwheel train for a few minutes’ journey direct to the cable cars’ lower departure station.
