With this fundraising campaign, you can make a mark in the truest sense of the phrase. To mark the 25th anniversary of help alliance, a Lufthansa Airbus A321neo with the symbolic handprints of all those who have donated to the Lufthansa Group’s aid organization will take off at the end of the year. 

There is a choice of three different hand sizes in limited numbers, which you can purchase symbolically on the help alliance website. Each handprint is only issued once and is available for different donation amounts depending on the size. You can see which handprint in which color on the plane belongs to you on the donation certificate that will be sent to you after the official inauguration of the plane at the end of the year.

The special livery is a gift from Lufthansa to mark the 25th anniversary of help alliance and is intended not only to generate donations, but also to honor all donors as well as the commitment of all the Lufthansa Group employees who are currently volunteering in over 60 aid projects in 29 countries. 

Their common goal is to improve the educational opportunities of socially disadvantaged children, adolescents, and young adults worldwide and thus enable them to lead a self-determined life. To this end, employees from various areas of the Lufthansa Group share their expertise to organize IT workshops for women in Syria, teach children in India to read, or help spice farmers in Nepal to sell their goods. Thanks to this commitment – and thanks to your donations – around 30,000 children worldwide were able to attend school in 2023 alone.

With a medium-sized handprint for 250 euros, for example, you can buy schoolbooks for 30 children at the Holistic School in India for an entire school year. And with a large handprint for 500 euros, you can finance the salary of a teacher at the Lilis School in the Dominican Republic for two months. At the end of the year, the help alliance plane will take off for the first time and will then promote the aid organization on flights within Europe.
