Lufthansa Express Rail – assuring your journey
Your upcoming journey includes a train connection with our Lufthansa Express Rail Service. This guarantees your flight connection and provides a convenient transfer at Frankfurt Airport long-distance train station.
Check-in and boarding pass
Your boarding pass is also a valid ticket for your train journey and may be checked by members of the train crew.
Please note: check-in is required at least 15 minutes before your train departs .
Check-in opens 30 hours before your first flight or train journey.
City-Ticket – accessible travel
With your boarding pass you’ll receive a Deutsche Bahn City-Ticket, so long as you check in online or in the Lufthansa app.
This means you can use public transport at your points of departure and arrival free of charge (excluding Siegburg and Basel.)
You can identify your City-Ticket by looking for the symbol “+City” on your boarding pass.
Baggage on the journey
Please take your baggage with your on your train journey. To drop off and pick up your baggage at Frankfurt Airport conveniently, the AIRail Terminal is available for you.
From train to plane
When you arrive in Frankfurt you’ll find the self-service bag drop kiosks immediately in the AIRail Terminal – just a short walk from the long-distance train station.
From plane to train
Baggage reclaim for Express Rail connections is also conveniently located in the AIRail Terminal, in the immediate vicinity of the long-distance train station.
Speed through security control
After dropping off your baggage, please follow the signs to security control and use the Fast Lane for Lufthansa Express Rail passengers.
