The area around Commercial Drive on the east side of the city is also known as Little Italy because many families of Italian descent have settled there over the last 60 years. I like to sit in the Fratelli Bakery there, listening to the Italian voices and treating myself to a real Italian delicacy: Cannoli Siciliani, deep-fried dough rolls with a creamy ricotta filling and chopped pistachios. Delicious! In the Italian bakery, which has already won many awards, the selection of  authentic Italian cakes, cookies and tarts is huge. It's worth queuing!
