This form applies to passengers who have their habitual residence in Germany or whose place of departure or destination is in Germany as shown in the booking, and who are prevented, due to force majeure, illness or any other reasons which arise only after booking and which require or make reasonable a deviation from the sequence of the ticket, from commencing carriage on all legs or in the sequence specified on the ticket.
To ensure your request can be processed as quickly as possible, we recommend using this form. Please complete and review your information before submitting your request.
Once we have reviewed your request, we will change your ticket accordingly and inform you of the new ticket number by email. Please notify us without delay as soon as you become aware of the reasons for your change of plans and provide proof of these reasons.
Short-notice cases
Please note that we may not be able to process your request before departure if you submit the reasons for your change of plans and the corresponding evidence less than three working days before the next scheduled flight in your booking. If you are unable to meet this lead time, we recommend that you have the evidence ready at checkin. Otherwise, we will initially recalculate the fare based on your modified routing in accordance with Article 3.3.3 of the Lufthansa General Conditions of Carriage. Should you have made an additional payment in this context and provide proof of the reasons for your change of plans immediately after transportation, we will review your request and refund the difference where applicable.
