Check-in/baggage check-in

At Munich Airport late-night check-in, check-in machines and a special Lufthansa family check-in for families with children under 12 are available.
All passengers can check in their bags conveniently and quickly by using the self-service baggage check-in kiosks on the Terminal 2 Departures level.

Boarding

Passengers who are travelling on an etix® – Lufthansa’s electronic ticket – are able to use the Lufthansa Quick Boarding Gates at Munich Airport.

Priority boarding is available to all Business Class passengers, HON Circle Members, Senators and Star Gold card holders.

The new baggage pick-up service from INTERKEP: now for sports baggage too!


Lufthansa passengers in Munich can now benefit from a new baggage pick-up service which, since the start of this year, has included ski and golf equipment as well as snowboards, bicycles, diving gear, surfboards and wakeboards. INTERKEP will collect your luggage and sports baggage from your home (within a radius of approximately 80 km of Munich Airport), transport it to the airport and check it in for you there – and all from just 19.90 euros.

Exclusive priority check-in at Munich Airport

First and Business Class passengers as well as HON Circle Members, Senators and Star Gold passengers arriving at Munich Airport in their own car can take advantage of a priority check-in that is a world first. Simply park in front of the Terminal 2 southern curbside car lane and a Lufthansa employee will take care of your check-in and checking in your baggage.

Shopping offers for Lufthansa Lounge guests

A new, innovative service is now available to Lufthansa Lounge guests in Terminal 2 at Munich Airport: exclusive shopping offers at discounted prices. After logging into the Lufthansa Lounge WLAN and registering, guests will receive an invitation to browse. On a separate website, promotional coupons with attractive offers from the many different shopping areas in Terminal 2 – such as Duty Free, fashion, accessories or Lufthansa WorldShop – can be downloaded. Great emphasis is placed on well-known regional products and ever-changing monthly specials.

Free 24 hour Wi-Fi

Passengers and visitors can now use Munich Airport’s Wi-Fi free of charge for 24 hours a day. Once registered, users can then surf during their next visit without having to register again. The service is provided via the Deutsche Telekom HotSpot portal.

InfoGates makes orientation easier

The interactive InfoGates show passengers the quickest way to their gate and provide information about the current status of their flight or changes to the departure time or gate. They also enable passengers to contact information centre staff via video conference and help them to get their bearings at the airport.
