How to get there

The A44 autobahn runs east-west past the airport with a dedicated exit, signed Flughafen. The A44 connects to the A52 north and the A3 north-south.

Access by public transport

Over 350 trains a day stop at the Dusseldorf Airport Rail Station, including regional, express, intercity and high-speed InterCity Express (ICE) trains travelling between the airport and a number of destinations in Germany. The SkyTrain connects the railway station and the terminal building. Underground: The S7 S-Bahn train connects the airport and Solingen-Ohligs.

The bus station is located in front of central Arrivals with a good selection of regional services. Bus 760 runs regularly to Ratingen Ost, bus 721 runs to Tannenhof via Dusseldorf central station, and bus SB51 runs to Kaarst-Rathaus via Dusseldorf-Nordfriedhof. Several other regional services call at the bus station by Dusseldorf Airport Rail Station.
