How can I buy Travel Guard Superior Plan for Lufthansa?

You can purchase the travel insurance on www.lufthansa.com/sg for Singapore-originating flights. Simply add travel insurance to your itinerary while you’re booking your flights online.

Who can buy Travel Guard Superior Plan for Lufthansa?
Travel insurance is available to ALL passengers who are flying out of Singapore for trips no longer than 182 days.

Are there any countries where I won’t be covered?
We do not cover you for the following countries: Afghanistan, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iran, Iraq, Liberia, Sudan or Syria.

When does coverage begin and end?
If you are travelling round-trip, your coverage begins upon check-in for your departure flight from Singapore and ends upon the arrival of your return flight to Singapore.
The Travel Cancellation benefit begins 60 days prior to your departure.

If I get sick during my trip, will I be covered for hospital and other related expenses?
Yes! You'll be covered for sickness-related medical expenses while you are overseas. To learn more about your medical expense benefit, please refer to the full terms & conditions of your policy.

Can I continue my medical treatment after I return to Singapore?
Yes, you can. If prior medical treatment has been sought overseas, you can continue medical treatment in Singapore upon your return - up to the limit specified in the policy or up to thirty (30) days whichever is earlier. Please refer to the full terms & conditions of your policy for more details.

Can I add travel insurance to my itinerary if I have a pre-existing medical condition?
Yes. You can add travel insurance to your itinerary even if you have a pre-existing condition. However, some benefits will not cover these pre-existing medical conditions. Please refer to the full terms & conditions of your policy for more details.

Can I cancel my Lufthansa flight booking for any reason and get a full refund of my air fare because of the Trip Cancellation Benefit in my policy?
Your policy's Trip Cancellation Benefit only covers the non-refundable portion of your Lufthansa fare when you cancel your flight booking due to valid insurable reasons such as serious sickness or death in your family that would prohibit you from continuing with your trip. After Purchasing Your Policy
How do I get my Travel Guard Superior Plan policy documents?
Your insurance policy documents will be sent to you by email as soon as your payment details have been validated. A copy of the Travel Guard policy wordings is also available for you to view online when you click on the link indicated within the confirmation email sent to you upon purchase of the insurance policy.

What should I do if I did not receive my Insurance Confirmation?
Don’t worry! You don’t need to bring a copy of your Insurance Confirmation on your trip. All you need is your Policy Number and our 24-Hour Emergency Assistance Number +65 6733 2552.

If you would like to receive a copy of your Insurance Confirmation, please e-mail us your request including your Full Name, Date of Purchase, Certificate Number (if available), Travel Dates and E-mail Address. You can also call our Customer Service Hotline at +65 6419 3000.

Can I make changes to my travel insurance cover or personal details?
If you would like to make changes to your policy, please e-mail us or call our Customer Service Hotline at +65 6419 3000.

Please note that changes to your policy will only be applicable if there were changes made to your Lufthansa flight booking.

Before Departing from Singapore
You can make changes to your policy in conjunction with any changes you make on your Lufthansa flight booking before you depart from Singapore.

After Departing from Singapore
You’ll be able to extend your policy even after you’ve left Singapore. All other changes to your policy are prohibited.

Simply call our 24-hour Emergency Assistance hotline +65 6733 2552 and we will ensure that you get the necessary assistance. Please don’t forget that you can call the hotline collect to avoid any charges.

If you require hospital treatment, please make sure you keep original copies of your receipts when you return to Singapore to ensure easy processing of your refund.

How do I file for a claim?
To file a claim, you can download the Notice of Claim Form here and follow the simple instructions included in the document. For questions about your claim, you can always e-mail us here or call our Customer Service Hotline at +65 6224 3698.

Is there a cut off time for filing my claims?
Yes, you have to notify us of your claim no later than 30 days after the occurrence of the claimable event.

How long does it take to process my claims?
We will process your claims within twelve (12) working days following the receipt of all necessary documents.
