Since November 2010 Lufthansa has been offering its First and Business Class passengers on long-haul flights from Germany another choice of dishes: the ‘Lufthansa Classics’.
Under the ‘Lufthansa Classics’ programme, a different classic international dish, traditionally prepared, is offered every month. Examples could be Wiener Schnitzel, Königsberg meatballs, marinated pot roast with red cabbage or seasonal dishes such as asparagus or Christmas goose.
With these dishes Lufthansa is offering even more culinary variety, especially to passengers who fly frequently. In each case the ‘Lufthansa Classic’ dish is indicated separately on the menu.
‘Lufthansa Classics’ in September and October 2012:
Singapore chili crab ravioli
Penne pasta with smoked mushrooms and spring onions
Coq au vin tagliatelle and vegetables
‘Schlutzkrapfen’ (South Tyrolean ravioli) with spinach
