A special check-in desk is provided for disabled passengers. There are low-level kerbs at entrances and exits to the terminals. Staff are trained in basic signing. An induction loop can be fitted and a text phone can be provided on request from the information desk.
Toilets and telephones are designed for disabled users; there are lifts and ramps to all areas and all taxis are wheelchair-friendly. Many staff are trained in first aid and porters can assist passengers from the car park to check-in desks (there are disabled parking spaces close to the airport entrance in the short-stay car park; disabled parkers are charged long-term rates). There are courtesy telephones in the car park to call for assistance. There are ambulifts to all aircraft if required. Assistance can be requested when booking the flight or by notifying security on arrival.
