Terms & Conditions
The following conditions apply to all group bookings made with Lufthansa and are subject to change at any time without notice.
Minimum group size
10 passengers traveling together from a single origin to a single destination.
100% of the group names are due no later than 60 days prior to departure. For specific group types name options may vary.
Once ticketed, a name change can only be done by Lufthansa. If the name is not the same as the passport, a correction fee of £50 will apply. A complete name change is a cancellation and a charge applies.
Calculation and collection of all taxes & fees are the sole responsibility of the travel agent.
All group space is subject to availability in the necessary booking class. We cannot be held responsible for waitlisted seats that have not been confirmed to you in writing. If the dates and/or routing changes from the original request, the fare is subject to change as well.
The group must be ticketed no later than 2 weeks prior to departure. Ticketing details are supplied prior to agreed ticketing deadline. If Lufthansa issues the tickets a £10 ticketing fee applies for etix and £20 for paper tickets.
Effective 05 May 2008, etix is possible for group travel on the following GDS:
Amadeus - Direct Access
Sabre/Worldspan - Claim PNR
Galileo - Drop Through
50% of the group may deviate their date of travel either on the outbound or inbound sector of their itinerary, but not both. They may use the same booking class and fare basis type as the rest of the group but must abide by the rules of the fare used. Routing deviations: are subject to booking class availability and pricing.
10% deposit/commitment is required two weeks after full confirmation of the group space. The deposit also acts as a fare guarantee. 50% deposit/commitment is required between 60 days and 35 days prior to departure. Deposits do not guarantee confirmation of any pending space only confirmed space.
The deposit is non-refundable.
A cancellation fee will apply in the event the group falls below the required 80% materialization. For further information, please contact your group sales department for a complete explanation of Lufthansa’s Group Sales Cancellation Policy.
Musical Instruments/Bulky Baggage
Musical instruments/sports equiptment and other bulky baggage should be advised with the intial request and no later than 90 days before departure.
Seating requests must be submitted along with the names. Any changes after that time are only possible at the airport on the day of departure.
