How to get there
The A90 ring road, which skirts Rome, leads to the E80/A91 highway direct to Rome Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport; from here, passengers should follow signposts to the airport.
Access by public transport
Bus:
COTRAL buses take around an hour to reach the city centre (tel: 800 174 471; www.cotralspa.it) and the one-way fare is €4.50. Taxi: Taxis are readily available outside the terminals; passengers should only take a white licensed metered taxi. The fare to central Rome is around €40.
Rail:
There is a Leonardo Express train service running every half hour to Rome's Termini railway station (journey time: 35 minutes; fare: €14). FR1 line local trains run every 15 minutes and stop at local stations on the way to Tiburtina railway station – the fare is €8. Services also run to Fara, Sabina, Poggio, Mirteto and Orte.
