Michelin stars in his blood
In March and April we will once again be offering our First Class passengers on long-haul flights from Germany something special: menus created by chef Marc Haeberlin, holder of three Michelin stars.
When Marc Haeberlin took over from his father as chef at the ‘Auberge de l’Ill’ in Illhaeusern in Alsace in 1976, the restaurant’s three Michelin stars were also virtually handed down to the son. For the art of cooking was also in Marc’s genes; it has enabled him to carry on the already famous gourmet restaurant in the family tradition. Nevertheless, Haeberlin gained further culinary experience by working for other top chefs and developed a culinary style of his own. Returning to his parents’ restaurant, he successfully blended the family’s gastronomic tradition with his own modern style of cuisine, a style full of contrasts.
Success agreed with him: the ‘Auberge de l’Ill’ has held its three stars continuously to the present day. We will be serving this top chef’s outstanding menus on board to our First Class passengers.
