You save time — and we donate paper:
Check-in using Lufthansa eFly Services

Online or mobile check-in not only saves you time at the airport, it now helps a worthy cause too. Whether you are on the go, at home or in the office between 12 December 2012 and 31 January 2013, if you check in for your Lufthansa flight at, Lufthansa will donate 1 piece of paper for school pupils in developing countries.

It’s a small amount, but it will have a big impact — because 52 pieces of paper make one school exercise book*. And with more than 2 million online check-ins during the campaign, it will quickly add up to around 40,000 school exercise books.

Join us on board: HelpAlliance

Under the slogan ‘Small change — it’s a big help’, this charity run by employees of Lufthansa, Condor, Brussels Airlines and Austrian Airlines has been collecting all types of currencies whether coins or notes on long-haul flights since 2001. The aid projects it supports include schools, training facilities, orphanages and street-children projects in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin and South America. The school exercise books for the ‘Paperless aid’ campaign will be sourced from local manufacturers to support local economies, reduce transport and storage costs and, last but not least, to reduce the amount of CO2 produced.
