Information

New Terminal 2 for Lufthansa and its partners

On 4 June 2014 the new Terminal 2, known as ‘The Queen’s Terminal’, opened at Heathrow Airport. It is the new home for the 23 Star Alliance airlines at Heathrow. United Airlines and Air Canada were the first to move into the new terminal, followed by others. From 1 to 15 October 2014 Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Germanwings, SWISS and Brussels Airlines will also move there.

A new car park directly connected to the new terminal, check-in machines and 56 check-in counters in Zones A-D, 24 security checkpoints, 4 of which have fast lanes, more than 60 shops, many restaurants and a shorter transfer time of only 60 minutes will make departures from London Heathrow even more attractive.

Until the move to the new Terminal 2 on 1 October 2014, HON Circle Members and Business Class passengers who are continuing their journey with Lufthansa in First Class from Frankfurt or Munich will only be able to use the Star Alliance Business Class Lounge at Heathrow because of restrictions caused by the construction work. After the move, status customers will be able to enjoy the new, 1,600 square metre lounge.
