Lufthansa will in future be offering travellers to and from northern Italy an even more diverse range of flights - as Lufthansa Italia with its own fleet and hub at Milan Malpensa.
Fly in an Italian atmosphere
Lufthansa Italia combines familiar Lufthansa values, such as reliability and top quality, with Italian flair. The cabin design reflects understated Italian style. Passengers are welcomed aboard by Italian flight attendants. Little Italian delicacies round off the culinary offering.
The Milan hub
With the establishment of Lufthansa Italia the route network from Milan Malpensa will progressively gain seven new destinations in Europe:
On 2 February 2009 we began flying to the first two destinations, Barcelona and Paris, with an Airbus A319. Since 2 March 2009 you have also been able to fly to the new destinations of Budapest, Bucharest and Madrid. From the start of the summer timetable on 29 March 2009 you will be able to reach Lisbon and London and from 1 April the route network will be extended to three destinations within Italy – Bari, Rome and Naples.
You will therefore be able to enjoy fast, non-stop connections to Europe’s major cities without having to fly via Lufthansa’s Munich and Frankfurt hubs.
