Early practice makes the perfect gourmet
In January and February, Michelin-starred chef Jean Baptiste Thomaes will be responsible for the menus for our First Class passengers on long-haul flights from Germany.
The Belgian chef opened his first restaurant in the tiny Belgian town of Ellezelles at the age of just 22, having finished his training. Since then, his cuisine has attracted gourmets from across Europe. Jean Baptiste Thomaes runs the business successfully with his brother, who is responsible for the pâtisserie.
Thomaes single-mindendly pursues his individual style of cuisine. This style is creative and Mediterranean with an oriental touch — and has been rewarded by the Michelin Guide with a total of two stars. Our First Class passengers will therefore be able to enjoy the highest standard of Belgian cuisine in January and February.
