Airport news: The airport is presently undergoing a massive redevelopment, involving construction of a third runway, and development of a new Terminal 3, to be ready in time for Brazil's hosting of the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament. There are also plans to build an express rail link between São Paolo airport and the city.
Access by public transport
Bus:
The airport bus connects with Congonhas Domestic Airport and the city centre. There is also an executive city bus for which tickets should be purchased in advance on the Arrivals floor. There is also a shuttle minibus service which runs to the city centre (journey time- 30-50 minutes).
Taxi:
Prepaid radio taxis serve the terminals.
