From as early as 23 hours before departure you can check in here, select your seat and conveniently print out your online boarding pass or have it sent to your mobile phone - at home, in the office or en route, for yourself and any passengers travelling with you who are aged two or older.

Latest departure airports where the online boarding pass can be used: Johannesburg, Tashkent and Erbil.
Since June 2009 a document check has been a legal requirement for all travel to Germany (except for purely domestic German flights and Schengen flights). Please therefore have a valid travel document ready so you can enter the details when you check in online.
Quicker boarding - even with bags
With your mobile or online boarding pass you can save valuable time: if you are travelling with hand luggage only, you can proceed directly to security and then to your gate. Additional luggage can simply be checked in on the way to your flight at one of the designated Lufthansa baggage drop-off counters.
