Miles & More wins the Freddie Awards 2009
Miles & More secured a gold, silver and two bronze distinctions at this year's Freddie Awards – the Oscar of frequent flyer programs – which was one more award than in 2008. This year, more than 700,000 customers around the world rated airlines' frequent flyer and hotel award programs.
For the third time in a row the Miles & More credit card won a gold in the category Best Affinity Credit Card in Europe/Middle East/Africa, reinforcing its leading role as the most popular credit card. Following the change to MasterCard the product was equipped with new features: online bank transfer service of € 1 for one mile, an improved insurance package, state-of-the-art chip technology and especially safe online shopping due to the MasterSecureCode.
Miles & More won a silver Freddie in the category Best Member Communication for the individualized campaigns with attractive miles incentives and the new, status-differentiated Online Newsletter, which also can be adapted for mobile phones.
For the second time running Miles & More also won a bronze Freddie in the Program of the Year category. This is a clear indication of the overall high intrinsic value and leading position of Miles & More.
Furthermore Miles & More won for the first time a bronze award for the Best Website. The new site, which went online last November, has delivered significant improvements: worldwide the first virtual Status Lounge and an intelligent Award Calendar, which shows at a glance the availability of Miles & More awards on 225 frequencies.
With its successful performance at this year's Freddie Awards the customers once again confirmed that Miles & More has solidified its leading role in Europe. Miles & More will go on making all efforts to ensure that this success story continues.
