Lufthansa-platform for engagement in climate protection: Swiss non-profit organisation myclimate is partner for carbon offsetting

Lufthansa passengers have a further opportunity to play an active role in tackling climate change. Via the independent partner organisation myclimate, ecologically aware air travellers can invest specifically in climate protection projects and can offsett their CO2-emissions. Your voluntary contribution can be made via the direct link below.

The money will be used to fund climate protection projects that will help to achieve a direct reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. All the projects that have been selected by myclimate comply with the most stringent quality standards. The myclimate emissions calculator, which takes into account the actual fuel-consumption data from Lufthansa’s environmentally friendly fleet, provides you with guidelines for your contribution. It is up to the individual on how much you actually give.

Decide yourself, if you will use money or premium miles, which you have collected in the frame of the worldwide frequent flyer programme, to pay for your carbon offsetting. If you choose Miles, they will be deducted from your account with Miles & More and an equal amount in Euros will be transferred to myclimate.
