Please note that because of a ban on carrying non-functioning (uncharged) mobile devices when boarding US-bound flights, there can from time to time be additional checks of electronic devices (mobile phones, tablets, laptops, etc.) for flights to the USA.

Check-in/baggage check-in

At Munich Airport late-night check-in, check-in machines and a special Lufthansa family check-in for families with children under 12 are available.
All passengers can check in their bags conveniently and quickly by using the self-service baggage check-in kiosks on the Terminal 2 Departures level.

Boarding

Passengers who are travelling on an etix® – Lufthansa’s electronic ticket – are able to use the Lufthansa Quick Boarding Gates at Munich Airport.

Priority boarding is available to all Business Class passengers, HON Circle Members, Senators and Star Gold card holders.

Free 24 hour Wi-Fi

Passengers and visitors can now use Munich Airport’s Wi-Fi free of charge for 24 hours a day. Once registered, users can then surf during their next visit without having to register again. The service is provided via the Deutsche Telekom HotSpot portal.

The interactive InfoGates show passengers the quickest way to their gate and provide information about the current status of their flight or changes to the departure time or gate.
