Facilities include accessible toilets and telephone booths, ramps and lifts. Disabled parking spaces are available in car park 2. There are special assistance desks in the Departures halls for travellers with special needs; passengers using this service should report no later than 90 minutes before departures. Passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel. Porters can be hired to assist disabled travellers between the airport and the railway station.
The services of the company Careport AG (www.careport.ch) are available free of charge to all passengers with reduced mobility. A member of the Careport team will accompany you from your arrival at the airport to your aircraft or vice-versa. Careport will also take care of transporting your wheelchair or ensuring your guide dog is handled correctly.
To use this support service, please request the necessary assistance for your outbound and return flight when booking, or at least 48 hours before departure, at your travel agency or directly from your airline.
Please state as precisely as possible the type of assistance you will require. Please also notify your travel agency or your airline of any special requirements, for example whether you have a battery-operated wheelchair or will be taking a guide dog with you.
The Arrival area is closed to private traffic until 2016 owing to construction work. If you are collecting passengers from the airport, we recommend that you use the car parks P1-3.
